TMJ

We have all met a person or at one point in time been the person who grinds their teeth during a meeting. Well this is part a result of Temporomandibular joint disorder which is a condition that affects the Temporomandibular (jaw) joint. Often symptoms include muscle spasms and pain, possible clicking and audible popping in your jaw, headaches, ear problems, and possible difficulty in opening and closing your mouth. At first many people find it a distraction or inconvenience however it can often interfere with your ability to concentrate or daily activities such as brushing your teeth or eating. On the more extreme end it may be caused by trauma, postural problems or oral/dental problems.

Chiropractic adjustments and exercises can help reduce pain and muscle tightness, and maintain normal jaw motion.
